Wig Upcycling—Elevate Your Style!

I offer wig upcycling services for those who want to repurpose their unused wigs. I recently transformed a WannaBe-LH Remy Mango wig into two gorgeous ponytails: The original wig weighed  4.6 oz (131 g) , and after deconstructing it, I carefully separated the wefts. The wefts varied in length, with longer strands from the top to the upper middle and shorter strands from the lower middle to the nape. I divided them into  short wefts  and  long wefts  to create two distinct ponytails. Short Ponytail: Made with 1.8 oz (51 g) of short wefts, perfect for a chic, everyday look. Long Ponytail: Crafted from 1.7 oz (48 g) of long wefts, ideal for adding drama and length to your style. Problem solved - Topper made from a full wig

  When my client A brought her mother to me, she was searching for a solution to her mother's extremely thin hair. She hoped for something made of human hair, as her mother didn’t want to wear a full wig. I explained the pros and cons of human hair versus synthetic options and let her try on a synthetic wig that was almost an exact match to her natural hair color and texture. To make it work for her, I folded the back of the wig, allowing her own hair to blend beautifully with the wig’s hair. They loved the concept and left excited about the possibilities.
